Meh.
Posted in Life in NZ, cats on 08/04/2003 03:08 pm by TamSunday was okay. The weather got nice, so I went out to an open house in Pauatahanui. This one, in fact. Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it’s actually more of an executive trophy place than a farm, per se (and priced accordingly). That open fire pit in the main room is way cool, though.
After that, I went out for coffee (tea for me) with another Yank dancer who’s just moved to Wellington from LA with her boyfriend (they’re both architects). That was fun. We have tentative plans to scope out fabric shops together (not that I need — or intend to actually buy — anymore fabric, mind you).
Then I made myself an actual real dinner — fish filet (already breaded) with steamed broccoli and garlic bread (I did spread the butter and already-crushed garlic myself). Go me !
Bit of a damper was put on the evening as the Camaraderie enforced by their quarantine seems to have worn off, and the cats are now officially bored and annoyed that they can’t go out, and so are pestering each other and me (although they did appreciate the new scratching thing I bought them, which was gratifying).
Didn’t especially want to come to work today — apparently with good reason as everyone seems to think I’m an idiot. Okay, not everybody, just the one or two people who seem to have decided I was an idiot from Day One anyway. I’m just finding it especially grating today. Bleah.
But hey, it’s only…
