Right, so. Welcome to the blog. Stephen and I will blather here about stuff. Since we’re in the process of moving from Boston, USA to Wellington, NZ, I reckon most of the blather will be about that, at least at first.

Why New Zealand ?
Because it’s there. Okay, no, really. There are a lot of reasons, but since this was all originally Stephen’s idea, I’ll let him answer that first, and then I can chime in and go, “Yeah, what he said, only…”

Why “suncrow” ?
I needed an email address that would be more or less permanent, and I wanted something I wouldn’t have to be spelling for people all the time, that I wouldn’t be embarrassed to give to an employer, or to my cousins who don’t know yet what a weirdo I really am (although I’m sure they suspect. Hi everybody -wave- !), or to use for a business name later on, when I finally bury myself under so much cool stuff that I am forced to sell some of it to make room for… uh, well, for more stuff. Crows are neato keen, and after living a few years in Boston, I’ve developed a greater appreciation for Our Friend the Sun.

Seven is a what ?
It’s from an old apantomantic rhyme used to count crows, or in some places magpies. If you see seven, it’s a omen of a journey to come.

Did you set all this up yourself ?
No. My thanks for this little corner of the net go to the l33t w3b 5k1llz of our good friend Chris, who will do the same and much more for you, only for money. Except for the amateurish twee graphics. Those are mine. At some point when I have two minutes to rub together and my fancy new Blue Beast (my new machine, built special for me by our other good friend, Len) all tricked out for graphics work, I’ll come up with something better. For now, you and we are stuck with this. Enjoy !
